Milflores

Million flowers, milflores for short. En anglais, ils s'appellent Hydrangeas.

This bloom is one of the rewards I've received from toiling in the garden, and payoff for the occasional shrieks from encountering the friendly neighborhood wriggly garden bugs. :P

Milflores come in many colors, but the variety I've grown produces a million white and blue blooms. One day, I'd bring me to Tagaytay or Baguio and buy myself Purple and Pink ones.

Malapit na nga pala ang Mothers' Day. Hint! Hint! :)

Hey Lory! Nice to hear from you. I must admit I don't remember your name, but I'm sure if I ever see you again (or in pics), I'd "place" you right away! (I never forget faces.) :) Naaalala ko pa siempre si Mang Tony, and I remember Bhey and Raymond too, even where they used to live in GS! :)

I do my gardening in the morning, before having coffee. Going out to my little garden is a kind of therapy for me, I like seeing flowers kasi... kinda starts the day in a colorful way. I just water them and sing a little (hahahaha!), the "heavy" stuff (repotting, transferring, planting, etc.) I reserve for weekends.

I emphatize with you about the lack of time, I didn't have time to garden, too, when I was in grad school. Pahinga for a while, so gardening took up the slot formerly occupied by studying.

And by the way, my kids are grown and are very well-behaved, so they're very low maintenance. In fact, they help me out in the garden. :)

Thanks for dropping by, hope to see you hereabouts uli. Hope you also visit my other blogs. :)

ah, milflores pala iyon. i love that one. i don't know why exactly, but that flower looks so...unassuming. it's as if it's saying "i'm all blue, deal with it."

Buti naman you have turned that small seemingly worthless area to something worthwhile to look at. Nakaka-release ng stress simply looking at the flowers. Also perhaps the realization na inspite of your real busy day, you find time to look around and appreciate God's gifts around us--the sun, the moon, the rain--nature tells us Someone up there is taking care of us.

I remember the book I read, written by Mitch Albom, it said "
so many people walk around with meaningless life. They seem half-asleep, even when they're busy doing things they think are important. This is because they're chasing the wrong things. The way you get meaning into life is to devote yourself to loving others, devote yourself to your community around you, and devote yourself to creating something that gives you purpose and meaning." I entirely agree with the author. Do you?
